Facilities and Grounds Technician III
General Description: Serve in an advanced level Facilities Maintenance and Grounds-keeping role. This employee will be responsible for assisting in the care and appearance of grounds and the other maintenance work. Duties will include the assistance of new construction and remodels, conduct repairs or complete new plumbing, electrical, sheet rocking, painting, carpentry, irrigation and water lines and vehicle maintenance.
General Qualifications: The standard qualifications for being on Black Diamond Camp staff is being willing and able in good conscience to support our statement of faith, values and mission as an evangelical Christian, non-profit ministry. We are looking for a person who will maintain a safe working environment, assist and plan landscaping projects and regular care, have the knowledge and experience to perform building and general maintenance and repairs. Assist in overseeing new construction projects and remodels. Maintain equipment and supplies and be available to on-call/emergency needs and some weekend shifts. Specifics: Position will begin as soon as possible. This is a year-round, full-time position. Pay range will be $21.00 to $24.00/hour DOE. On campus housing available and forgivable moving loan available to cover moving expenses. For more information, click here.

Guest Services Assistant
General Description: The person in this position will be part of a team that provides outstanding hospitality and service to individuals and groups. The members of this team will serve in Food Service through general food prep, delivery, presentation and customer service before, during and after meals. The person in this position will also serve on the Accommodations team by preparing facilities for guest use, cleaning sleeping rooms, meeting areas, restrooms and public spaces. They will be scheduled according to their specific training and skill levels along with the various needs of each group and event as these demands will vary the schedule and shifts from day to day and week to week.
General Qualifications: Beyond the general qualifications for being on WBCM; Black Diamond staff, we are looking for a person who maintains an environment of professionalism, safety and hospitality and works collaboratively as a team. Weekend availability is a must.

Camp Counselor
General Description: Are you ready for one of the most rewarding summers of your life!?
We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing staff that love Jesus. While being a camp counselor you will have the opportunity to impact campers from the age of 5 to 18. You will guide, teach and be their friend through all the challenges that they face at camp. Hospitality Staff

We are seeking people that are servant hearted and love the idea of helping guests have a wonderful experience by maintaining a clean and safe environment! You as a Hospitality staff will help with behind the scenes at the camp, by cleaning, organizing rooms, and helping with other needs on camp. For more information, click here.
Maintenance Staff
General Description: Do you like getting your hands dirty? We have 100 acres that need your green thumb like yours.
We are seeking staff that are good with their hands, do not mind being in the sun, love Jesus and are self-motivated to complete tasks. You, as a maintenance person, will help with existing projects alongside the full-time maintenance people and maintain lawns, trails and play fields. You will learn how to use certain lawn power tools along with any other traits you might need for this position. For more information, click here.
Program Team Member Lead
General Description: Do you feel called to lead, go above and beyond to make things happen? Then we have the job for you.
We are seeking enthusiastic, relatable, and friendly people who love Jesus and that have been a part of the Black Diamond Summer team for a summer. This position is heavily involved with both our Day Camp and Group Camp programs and Director/Managers. You will help plan, organize, facilitate and assist staff that are involved with our summer programs. You will grow in leadership and communication skills, develop problem solving and teamwork skills along with creating friendships to last a lifetime. This position has been filled for 2024.
Photographer
General Description: Memories to last a lifetime!
We are seeking an experienced, creative individual who is interested in capturing the lifelong memories that are made at Camp. You, as a photographer, will work with the Marketing Team to capture, edit, and distribute exciting, high-resolution images of our summer programs to be shared online and in various marketing projects. You will be immersed in the camp experience and grow in both artistic and technical photography skills. You should be comfortable shooting in Manual and proficient in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. This position has been filled for 2024.
Worship Leader
General Description: March to your own drum? Do you know how to slap the bass? When you sing, do songbirds land on your finger? If the answer is yes to these questions, we have a great position for you.
We are seeking multi-talented vocal, guitar (acoustic, electric, bass) and percussion (full set hard drums) that love Jesus and love to lead others in worship. You, as the worship leader, will prayerfully plan sets appropriate for staff, campers, youth pastors and families from all denominations. This position has been filled for 2024.
Service Team Leader
General Description: Join us as we serve humbly and wholly towards others, while investing in the next generation.
We are seeking outgoing, adventurous, Jesus' loving, individuals that want to help change the middle school and high school range campers. You will be immersed with the campers 24/7 and have opportunities to truly show what a servant's heart is. You will develop leadership and problem-solving skills along with becoming a great mentor to these campers. This will be one summer that you will not forget. This position has been filled for 2024.
Activities Staff
General Description: Do you seek adventure and desire to challenge others out of their comfort zones? If so, then come be a part of our activities team.
We are seeking adventurous individuals that love Jesus and the outdoors. While being a part of the Activities team you will help set up and facilitate high elements such as our zip line, rappel wall, leap of faith and other camp activities. You will guide, teach, and challenge all ages to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. This position has been filled for 2024.
Kitchen Staff
General Description: Do you love making food? Do you love to be in the kitchen? Get your apron on and let us start cooking.
We are seeking individuals that love the idea of making great food, eager to take initiative, love Jesus and able to be a team player. You, as kitchen staff, will work as a team which will all have multiple roles within the kitchen. You will learn leadership skills, food knowledge and problem-solving skills while making delicious meals for all that come to camp. This position has been filled for 2024.
Group Camp Speaker
General Description: Do you have a passion for sharing the Gospel with younger generations?
We are looking for a fun, engaging, and high energy speaker to present our curriculum to middle and high school students in a way that they can relate to and take to heart. As our speaker not only will you share God’s word to youth, but you will also have the opportunity to get to know them on a personal level by doing camp activities, joining the groups at meals, or just hanging out with them. This position has been filled for 2024.
Important Information
- Standard Summer Staff contract is end of May through the end of August. For more information, click here.
- Staff must attend their “Staff Orientation” training at the beginning of summer and will receive a stipend for that orientation period. Contract pay will begin upon completion of orientation.
- Summer Staff are required to live on-grounds in dorms or cabin style accommodations with other staff members or campers.
- Meals are provided during the week, and optional weekend meals. In most accommodations there is a kitchen available to make your own meals for your times off, if desired.
- Scheduled time off will depend largely on position and staffing each summer.
- We will interview applicants as they apply and will accept applications until all positions have been filled.
Contract dates can be flexible based on your availability. Please consider applying even if your availability does not match with the dates as listed above as we would still review and discuss if there is any way to accommodate.
- Camp Counselor, Activities Staff, Worship Leader, Group Camp Speaker, Hospitality Staff, Kitchen Staff, Maintenance Staff, and Camp Photographer: $360/week
- Program Team Leader, Service Team Leader: $410/week
*Returning Summer Staff receive an additional $50 to their weekly salary.

College is a time when students are thinking about careers and ways to achieve their goals. We develop our summer staff and help them use their time at Black Diamond to make a real impact on their futures. Some are called to camp ministry as a full-time career, others go into the world to do incredible things for the Kingdom of God, using many skills they learned at camp. From counselors to food service workers, to camp administration to retail to volunteers, we’re looking to fill a ton of different jobs.
Internships
Christian Camping Year-Round Internship

General Description:
A Christian Camping Intern will be placed in roles that are up front with guests as well as working behind the scenes. They will be the face, hands, and feet of Black Diamond Camp and God’s purpose here. This unique position will allow Interns to work together as a team and with the other Black Diamond Staff to fill a vital role at Black Diamond by serving groups to fulfill Black Diamonds mission. When not working with guest groups each Intern will get an opportunity to shadow all areas of our camp ministry as well as participate in classes and experiences led by our full-time staff. The internship program at Black Diamond Camps gives you an opportunity to see every side of camping ministry. Through the program, each intern has the opportunity to be mentored by full-time staff as well. The person in this position shall, always, demonstrate cooperative behavior towards colleagues, guests, and supervisors. Regular attendance is essential for this position. Adherence to a published schedule is expected and required.
General Qualifications:
The pursuit of a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to scripture. Gets excited by meeting and getting to know new people frequently. Strong sense of hospitality and customer service. Ability to create energy in a group setting. Ability to create a portion of a schedule for a group. Strong sense of community and ability to get along with many staff within a small community. Strength in controlling emotions when tired or frustrated and continue to be hospitable, smile, and treat guests with kindness. Easily communicate with guests and youth pastors in a professional manner. Willing and able to learn and be teachable. Work well with and relate to youth.
